KALAGRAM Efforts to revive and maintain the rich heritage of Indian Art and Culture resulted in setting up of Kala Gram - Shilp Gram, and artisan village over an area of 17 acres on Chandigarh Kalka Road near the Railway Crossing. Kalagram has been set up in Chandigarh by Chandigarh Administration and North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC). It aims at the identification, preservation, and propagation of traditional arts and crafts of the Region and to generate financial support to artisans and craftsmen. Kalagram has been envisaged for the display of Crafts, artifacts, handicrafts & handloom, and to promote traditional culture-Folk Songs and Dances.
