And when I mention greenery, it would be better if you take a road trip. Come alive with this song...Dharti sunheri, ambar neela har mausam rangeela, aisa Chandigarh hai mera… 

Take any of the Roads/ Highways/ Expressways and you will be delighted in by the fields or mountains or a water body along with your route.

And the minute you enter Chandigarh, you will watch the Shivalik slopes ascending when you draw nearer. Those pinnacles are so conspicuous in the blue sky that it's not less than a postcard view. 

Make sure you have put on your seat belts and drive at the appropriate speed as you might be welcomed by the Chandigarh Police that will issue challan, on the off chance that you violate any of the traffic rules.

Moving ahead, Chandigarh has without any doubt been close to my heart. Not because it is the best city to live in, or because I have spent my good yesteryears but because this place has all the positive vibrations that are required to Stay Calm... Stay Alive... Stay Fresh... 

Chandigarh has quite a lot changed in the recent years. Flyovers, Cycling Tracks, and the Woman Safety have been all the rage.

To Start afresh, Elante Mall has been the buzzword around. Chd gae te Eh ni vekheya ta Ki vekheya... Young ladies throng this place and the mall credits itself as the Mecca for Brand Shopping and yes, of course, the ideal place to get the pictures clicked. 

Next big thing to watch out for in Chandigarh is Sukhna Lake and Rock Garden. These places mark the beginning of Chandigarh, which is one of the greenest and the cleanest city in India. You can also visit few other stunningly beautiful lakes in Chandigarh. 

Beginning se yaad aya.... Le-Corbusier Museum... Can you pronounce it? Haha...That twist of tongue definitely puts a smile on our face. This museum has stocks of a number of works, arts, and blueprints that were responsible for the creation of this city. I must say, he had a vision and mission in mind. Agree na? Other than this amazing museum, there are a couple of more museums in Chandigarh to check out.

Check the time by your watch... Is it time for some paet pooja...?  Mmmmm... I won't say go to this place and that place... But suggest you some of the famous Dhabas in Chandigarh that mark the best food joints to have tummy-full experience. 

Bhar gya paet...? I told you.. these places are worth trying. having said that, the tummy department has been tackled. It's time for some masti and dhamaal. Chandigarh's calendar is always recorded with a lot of engagements.  Name it an exhibition, music concert, awards or the standup comedy shows, you'll get all the fun and masti. Great list... Phew! It was hard for me to zero down the options. But now that I have done. I'm ready to doll up. And as usual, I don't have clothes. Wink! (When do we have them... Hahaha..) I've still got some hours before I hit the party place. Chandigarh has a couple of options to shop, both within the budget and splurging. For the former ones, you can visit Sector 22 ki market, Sector 34 and Sector 15 Shastri Market. Trust me, these are the best street shopping places in Chandigarh. The latter ones obviously include Elante mall and VR Punjab. 

The dress is finalised and now it's time to prep up. Also, if you are looking out for top-notch salon in Tricity there are many. But the ones who started their journey long ago are Cleopatra, Headmasters, and Hairmasters. 

If you are not a party animal and rather prefer to enjoy otherwise, head straight to Sector 17 and watch the day pass by. Though the place has lost its charm, it still recapitulates your memories of old Chandigarh, when Sector 17 was the only place to shop, stroll and eat. 

Hey! Did you try the street food.... OMG... I forgot to mention... My bad... Abhi golgappe and chaat toh reh gae.... For these... Chandigarh has Sector 23 ke famous Golgappe and Chaat, Sector 34 Toshib famous noodles and chaat and Momos... Whoa! I can go head over these. Ab baat aati hai Gedi ki... And Chandigarh aye te Gedi route nai gae... Na Na... Not possible. turn those wheels at the famous Gedi route which stretches from Sector 8-9-10 to Sector 11...

The Garden Of Silence... The best of the words that define it is "Serenity at its Best". Its calm and the silence lets you unwind. Btw I am pretty sure many of you might not be knowing that Chandigarh that it is often called the “garden city of India”. Yes, You heard us right! Chandigarh houses some of the most beautiful gardens.

Mante ho na... Chandigarh eh ni vekheya te ki vekheya... Moving ahead, if you have refreshed yourself. It's time to get some fresh air. Pahado ki Vadiyo se mulakat abhi baki hai. The Himalayan Expressway is an ideal spot to end your Chandigarh day. Watch the lights that jewel-up the mountains in the night and breathe in some fresh air and make your lungs happy... Haha...
