Nowadays, with so many women-related crimes on the rise, women in Chandigarh feel unsafe stepping out with a male cabbie. They rely on things like being on the phone while in a cab or sharing the cab details with a close one for live tracking. And even then, there are instances that make their fear even stronger.

Shoutout With Glee Coz Chandigarh Gets The First All-Women Cab Service!

A company by the name of Future Cabs E-Cab Service is all set to start Chandigarh’s First All-Women Cab service from 15th August 2018. Yes! On the occasion of Independence Day, Chandigarh women will get to feel the freedom of being able to ride in a cab driven by a woman. Add to that the bonus of getting free rides to women all day on 15th August and what you get is Happy Chandigarh women. Director of Operations at Future Cabs E-Service, Rajat Luthra explains, “Future Cabs are the first company to provide e-cab services in the tri-city. The cab service will not only make travel cheaper but will also be offering better earnings to drivers. Also, we will be Chandigarh’s First All-Women Cab Service. So, women in Chandigarh can just sit back and enjoy the ride!”  

Women will be able to book a cab through the mobile application in which a customer has to create a profile stating they are a male or a female and only women in Chandigarh will have an option to request for women drivers only. The Application is designed in a manner that women drivers are unable to get requests from male passengers. Also, they will have the facility to cancel the ride if they suspect that the rider who has requested the women-only cab is a male person. This way, women drivers, as well as passengers, can not only feel safe but more comfortable too. The application will also have the SOS feature that, in the wake of a mishap, will flash on the company's servers which will send out a message to the family and the police of any danger. Now, that is what you call safety for women!

Wondering about the earnings? To ensure that the earning of women cab drivers in Chandigarh is not affected, the company will allow them to pick up couples during the day till 6 pm, post which they will only pick up women in Chandigarh. Doesn’t that sound awesome ladies? Ohh Yeahh!

The coolest thing is that the cab will offer lowest per kilometer charges as compared to other cab services in Chandigarh. Woah! So, rejoice and shoutout with glee as Chandigarh gets it’s first Women Cab Service! Hurray!
