Hone Your Entrepreneurial Skills With GEN's Startup Huddle!
In the era of entrepreneurs, we often come across entrepreneurs who feel that there is no standard institution that provides a direction to their ideas. They feel there is no way to learn new skills that would help them grow their ventures and help them reach the zenith of success. In such a scenario, most entrepreneurial ventures fail despite being innovative.
To overcome this gap and lag in entrepreneurial learning, The Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) in association with Chitkara University is all set to unveil for the First Time in India, a program for development of entrepreneurs. All Entrepreneurs, welcome with open Arms, the Startup Huddle!
Create. Collaborate. Connect With Startup Huddle!
To help local entrepreneurs hone their pitch skills and discover solutions to the challenges they face, The Global Entrepreneurship Network is all set to launch Startup Huddle in Chandigarh on 18th July and in Mohali on 25th July, this will be held at EXPLORE HUB incubator of Chitkara University located at Rajpura, Punjab. Startup Huddle is a program to educate, engage and connect entrepreneurs.
Startup Huddle format is consistent in each location in which on a given morning, one or two early-stage startup founders give a six-minute presentation of their companies to a diverse audience of peers, mentors, educators and advisers. Each presentation is followed by a 20-minute question and answer session and feedback via an audience survey. This way, through these discussions and deliberations, the budding entrepreneurs get to solve real-time problems and also are able to boost their confidence. Thus, its a great way to learn and grow!
Boost Your Inner Entrepreneur with Startup Huddle!
Startup Huddle' culture is a supportive, neutral space, welcoming entrepreneurs to be open and honest about their businesses and the challenges they face. Each event is organized by local entrepreneurs and community builders who secure a venue, select presenters and publicize the event. This way it becomes an educational experience for both the audience and the presenters. Presenters are given resources and support to prepare for their presentation and surveyed after their presentation to see what they’ve learned.
As per Yatin Thakur, MD at GEN, "We are proud to have academic partners like Chitkara University and local ecosystem builders from Chandigarh region who have taken the lead in establishing Startup Huddles in Northern India. We are confident this will boost entrepreneurship and provide a huge support to aspiring entrepreneurs of the region." As per Sumeer Walia, Director Entrepreneurship Development at Chitkara University, “We wish to collect more data of startups and be the key players in the ecosystem, as well as a role model for other chapters across India and eventually create a harmonious ecosystem for startups.”
"With such a vision to provide the right atmosphere and attitude for boosting the entrepreneurs of tomorrow and partners like Chitkara University, we are assured that the Future Of entrepreneurs and their ventures is quite bright." said Thakur.
