Kerala setting a fine example for the rest of the states in India

India is a union of 29 states, many of which are large and populous and lying on the southernmost western side of the subcontinent is Kerala, one of India's smallest state. The state was virtually an unequal part of India at the beginning of the 20th century but it seems to be making it ahead of its time. In a developing world, where the vast chasm between rich and poor is so evident, it seems less obvious in Kerala, where corruption is less endemic and society is more stable. The state has the highest Human Development Index, life expectancy and literacy, and the lowest fertility and Infant Mortality Rate. There has been so many times when the God’s own country has been the first one to set an example before the other states even thought about it. Now feel proud reading

The eleven times Kerala set wonderful examples for the rest of the states in India to follow:

1. It was declared by the U.N. as the only state in the country which lies in the very high Human Development Index (HDI) in the year 2013.

2. Kerala is the only state in the country that's almost met the U.N.'s standard, bringing Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) down to 6 per 1000 live births.

3. Kerala's the first state to launch a transgender policy in the country of India.

4. Kerala went on to open the first transgender school of the country, in Kochi.

5. Malappuram district, a tribal village located 400 km from Kerala's capital was declared the first to go cashless after demonetization.

6. Kerala has also been declared as the first digital state.

7. The village of Kunnamthanam is now a complete yoga village, yet another first in the country.

8. Kerala's the first state to achieve 100% primary education.

9. Kerala is the first to achieve a sex ratio like no other in the country.

10. The best of all of these has been Kerala being the first to declare the internet as a human right.

11. It's the only state in the country that will greet you with a dowry-free zone.
