The hub for nature lovers, photo fanatics, and wanderers, the Pinjore Gardens in Panchkula have earned a place for themselves in history. In itself, Pinjore has ingrained a piece of our culture, dating back as old as 17 CE, when it was constructed by architect Nawab Fidai Khan. Made during the reign of Aurangzeb and refurbished during the era of Emperor Yadavindra Singh, the Gardens earned themselves the name of Yadavindra Gardens to honor the legacy of the ruler.

With its defining feature being the seven terraces that the garden is spread across, the entrance leads to the first entrance, where we are treated to the likes of a palace built in traditional Mughal Style. As you walk through those gardens, saunter through that stretch of land entrenched with lavish fountains, dotted with Cypress and other varieties of plants, you shall be able to experience first-hand what it felt to be a king or queen.

The main entrance opening into the first of seven terraces has been decorated in Rajasthani- Mughal Style, the first terrace is given the name of Shish Mahal- the palace of glass and lies adjacent to Hawa Mahal- the palace of air. The second terrace is decorated with colorful arched doorways, therefore earning itself the name of Rang Mahal. The third terrace is outlined with Cypress trees and flower beds which eventually lead to dense groves and fruit trees. The next terrace is known for its beautiful surroundings since it contains a fountain bed along with a platform where we can relax and admire the view. The terraces end with the lowermost one caving in the figure of a disc-like structure, adding another layer of awe and wonder to the vast grandeur of the terraces.
