The base of this app is in Saudi Arabia where a developer namely Zain-al-Abidin Rawfiq brought this concept. Initially, this application was developed for employers who could send feedback to the employees and also for the employees who could do the same. But this app spread like wild fire in the virtual world. People are going crazy after this app. From politicians to journalists, writers to teens everyone has grown very fond of this app.

Many people in the society always seek social approval, and this makes them weak as a person. Being confident about oneself is not that easy as well. People use social media to escape the harsh realities, but social media too leads to stress and anxiety. The isolation that we see in today's life is a primary outcome of social media. Why do you need an external validation for living your own life? This is a question which many people like to skip.

Sarahah's primary motive was to provide good feedbacks, but those comments slowly turned into sad and ugly ones. People are openly insulting others through this app. Some people can healthily take bitter words but on the other side of the coin stand those people who can be adversely mentally affected by these messages. Some might not even mean what they send and they might have done that for fun but at the end of the day it is a anonyms post, and it might be true as well.

The funny side is, the internet is also flooded with various extensions and application through which you can generate the anonymous user who posted the message, but none of them has succeeded yet. Then there is a chrome extension which will block all the Sarahah confessions popping up on your wall.

The world and its people are already struggling with many real life challenges, and apps like these add fuel to the fire. The whole idea of constructive criticism is a flop one. Everyday fighting to survive to fit in this constantly changing world is more important than bothering mindless confession done by foolish people.
