Panjab University is a public university in Indian that is located in Chandigarh. It is spread over 550 acres in sector 14 and 25 in Chandigarh. With 78 teaching and research departments and 15 centres/chairs for teaching and research, its a premiem educational institution in the country. It has 188 affiliated colleges spread across 8 districts of Punjab and Chandigarh, with Regional Centres at Muktsar, Ludhiana and Hoshiarpur. The main administrative and academic buildings are located in sector 14, beside a health centre, a sports complex, hostels and residential housing for teachers. It is one of the best universities in India.
