About the event

Paint Online Using Wine With Madhuri on 11 Sep from 7 PM Onwards.

Introduction: Love wine? What if we told you, you could paint with it too? Yes, you read that right. You can create a beautiful painting using just wine and we will help you through the same.

What You Will Learn: In this session, we will explore: 1. How to use an out-of-the-box medium of art - Wine Painting 2. A step by step guide on using wine to paint a beautiful masterpiece instead of using the usual and conventional paints 3. Introduction to the basics of using wine to paint 4. How to reduce wine to be able to paint with it 5. How to achieve different shades using just wine 6. A guided session to create a wine painting of your own, one step at a time

Materials needed: 1. A cup of reduced red wine - To reduce, add the wine to a nonstick vessel and simmer on low heat. Do not heat for more than 10-12 minutes as the wine will burn (keep your face away at all times as there is a chance of it catching fire due to alcohol content and please be careful!). Test the color, if it is too light, reduce some more. Alternatively, you can pour some wine in a glass and leave it out (cover the top of the glass with cardboard or a small plate so as to protect it from dust) for 5-6 days to allow it to reduce naturally. 2. A4 sheet paper - Thicker the better. We recommend a 300GSM watercolor paper. 3. Paintbrushes 4. Water in a cup 5. Tissue paper

About the Artist: Madhuri is a self-taught mixed media artist who lives and loves to try new things with her artwork including different mediums. She likes to think outside of the box and away from convention, so most of her works reflect the same. Having lived in a city like Melbourne where coffee is not just a beverage but a culture, she started painting with coffee. Other mediums include wine painting, glow-in-the-dark painting, chalk carving, stippling, and so on. She is a firm believer in celebration of diversity and hence dreams of traveling to as many places as possible to incorporate the essence of different places and different people in her work, so as to touch lives globally with the same.
