About the event
Gear up for Chandigarh’s first annual poetry walk!
Theme: No matter the wreckage.
This time on World Poetry Day when the sun goes down at Rock garden, let’s reflect on the wonder of rebuilding and renovation. The miracle of renewing. The strength of creating art from the tragedies and setbacks. The hope of rebuilding from the wreckage. Let’s read out poetry that leaves a lasting resonance in the space. Because no matter how many times we are knocked down, there’s some flame inside us that keeps burning. That makes us new and make us stand up. So when the sun goes down on world poetry day, walk with us no matter the wreckage!
“Still I Rise” by Maya Angelou, “Patjarh” by Surjit Patar and “Ham Dekhenge” by Faiz are poems that are in sync with the theme. Come, read your favorite poetry and just be!
