Since kids, we have been reading the quote "Someone's sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago."
But how many of us have actually planted one?
Let's say a few of us and huge respect for all them and also a Shoutout to Global Shapers for running the Treellionaire drive. A drive to inspire more people to plant & adopt trees this summer.
Okay, so you must be wondering what Treelionaire is?
Treellionaire is a global drive to plant & adopt trees started by Global Shapers. Everywhere Treellionaire has seen a great success following which Chandigarh Hub of Global Shapers is going to start with this initiative and a series of tree plantation events will follow thereafter in Chandigarh, Mohali & Panchkula.
They are holding their first on-ground event for 'Treellionaire' around Starthub Nation in Panchkula, where they are planning to plant at least 20 saplings arranged from the forest nursery with efforts by Dr. Manu Mengi, their environmentalist partner for this project.
Once, the saplings are planted, they will adopt those trees and complete care will be taken by Starthub Nation community. Mr. Anuj Agarwal, Founder- Altruist is also keen to join them at the event and adopt a few trees to take care.
Global Shapers Chandigarh's founding curator Mr. Munish Jauhar, Mr. Param Kalra(Founder- Starthub Nation), Mr. Divyansh Gupta(Founder- The Foodibles) and other Global shaper members will be present to participate in tree plantation.
